How: There are two climbing routes for Mount Agung, one is a challenging route which usually starts from the Besakih temple after that one has to cover a hike through the dense and lush green jungle of Besakih. The second trekking route begins from the Pura Pasar Agung, which is easy compared to the Besakih one. This route will take three to four hours to get you to the top, whereas the Besakih will take you six to seven hours.
Things to do: You can witness the three-sixty – degree view of the entire Bali. You can also visit the Besakih temple, one of the most sacred sanctums in Bali.
Tips: Carry enough water as you can quickly get dehydrated and don’t forget to carry extra warm clothes as it will be freezing on the top.
