3 Remote Entrepreneurs Offer Up Advice on How to Manage Your Company

Are you new to being a remote entrepreneur? Are you new to being an entrepreneur in general?

Well, it can be a tough task to handle all of the new things being sent your way and you’ll need help in managing everything. From managing employees, handling invoices, taking care of your website, monitoring your social media channels, and more. It’s a never ending list of things to learn, manage, and deal with and, as a remote entrepreneur, you’ll feel like you’re on your own.

That’s why we chatted with 3 entrepreneurs. We wanted to get their biggest pieces of advice so we could pass them on to all of those entrepreneurs who needed a bit of reassurance and advice as they navigate this new strange world.

These 3 entrepreneurs manage remote companies and have experience, so they can be a huge help for those people looking to learn. Here’s what they had to say:

(1) Clearly State and Write Down Your Goals.

“Your goals and tasks can get lost in the shuffle when you’re a business owner. You can get caught up with mindless tasks and let time slip by without actually crossing things off your to-do list.

I recommend you get a whiteboard in your office so you can clearly state and write your goals. Then, you can make sure you are making progress and are leading your company in the right direction!”

-Donny Gamble, Founder of Retirement Investments.

(2) Look After Your Mental and Physical Health.

“Remote working is extremely tough on your mental and physical health. In fact, it can be so draining that remote entrepreneurs begin to feel burnt out, mentally drained, and even sluggish in their actions.

You need to keep up with your physical activity as a way to get rid of negative energy you are feeling and provide your brain with a refresh. Physical activity is a great way to give your body a complete recharge and it can make a ton of difference.

On top of that, you need to take care of your mental health and find time away from your work. Make time for your family, friends, and – as I said above – for exerting some physical activity!”

-Jeff Parke, Founder of Top Fitness Mag.

(3) Use new technology to help you operate effectively.

“New technology and platforms can only help you as a remote entrepreneur. They are designed to make you a more effective business owner and can make a huge difference in your remote company if you take advantage of them.

From communication, file organization, collaboration, to-do lists, and so much more, these platforms are truly a difference-maker when it comes to operating as a remote business owner. You would be crazy not to take advantage of them.”

-Josh Ladick, Founder of GSA Focus Inc.
